The lecture presents structures for hydrogen generation and storage. The focus is set especially on the storage as this is the most concerning part of hydrogen processing. The problems related to the hydrogen processing are explained for a hydrogen refuelling station designed to refill transportation vehicles including cars and trucks or buses. This example is intended to explain to the students the risk and hazards surrounding the hydrogen processing.

Wojciech Kosman is professor at the Silesian University of Technology and a doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) in the field of machines design and operation. Gained a habilitation in 2018 - a degree recognized in European countries. Fields of research include power generation systems and machines, diagnostic methods and procedures for fluid flow systems, thermal and strength analysis of machines and risk evaluation for technical systems. Recent (2024) cooperation with industry and power generating branch includes optimization of power generating units operation, application & operation of nuclear power plants and risk analysis of hydrogen infrastructure.
