Comminution Principles and Equipment

Based on the basic types of stresses introduced into hard rocks and ores to initiate crack propagation and finally size reduction, a wide variety of primary crushing and milling machines is presented. Their operating and stressing principles are explained and based on those principles application areas are discussed.
